Dr. Wickwire joined PDCCA after he completed his fellowship in Behavioral Sleep Medicine in September 2009. Dr. Wickwire is Co-Founder of the Center for Sleep Disorders. He is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, being one of only a handful of formally trained Behavioral Sleep Medicine specialists in the state of Maryland (and less than 200 such specialists worldwide). Dr. Wickwire offers unique expertise in the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of sleep disorders.

Dr. Schaefer is a board certified pulmonologist who has been caring for patients with lung disease in Howard County for over 25 years. He has always had a special interest in treating patients with asthma, emphysema and interstitial lung disease.  In 2009, he successfully completed the ABIM exam in Sleep Medicine. He is a former Medical Director of the Sleep Laboratory at Howard County General Hospital. In 2010 he joined his large practice with PDCCA so that he could have more time with his family.   His personal interests include gardening, woodworking and birding.
